I
have been involved with custom cars since 1999 and started competing
with my 1997 Honda Civic show car in early 2000. From paycheck to
paycheck my 1997 Honda Civic show car was built straight off the
dealership lot. Even though I am the owner of this show car, by
no means would I be where I am today if it was not for the numerous
dedicated people involved with this project. This truly was a team
effort by many, who all deserves the utmost thanks.
Before any new major modification were made to my 1997 Honda Civic
show car extensive research was done by attended numerous shows,
not just sport compact shows, but hot rod, lowrider, and motorcycle
shows. Along with intense online research and magazines, a show
car was created to incorporate several different genres, and appealed
to the people in those genres. Understanding the need to keep up
with the trends and competition, while maintaining a sense of individuality;
I made sure that at every show the car had one or more new modifications
to debut. The key to individuality also is presentation with creating
elaborate eye-catching displays to attract and pull in people to
the car. Along with individuality it is important that to me that
my show car is fully functional and that the quality of the products
on my car is top of the line
2001 and 2002 was the turning point. Thanks to all my sponsors;

It has placed in the top three award categories, including Best
of Show at all of the shows. We took advantage of the opportunity
to rebuild our civic for the 2003 show season. With all of our sponsors
support we turned around and rebuilt our civic within three months.
Ready for the 2003 show season, our civic dominated the competition.
I have accomplished a lot with our civic, more than I ever expected.
